Joel 2:28 “Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.” ‭‭Joel‬ ‭2:28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I can still remember the first time I received a vision from God. The church was in worship and I was lost in worship and suddenly I saw a vision of a Being washing away my sins like the person was mopping a floor with compassion and I immediately understood, felt and knew the reality of God’s love in that moment. I broke down in tears and began to ask for HIS mercy because despite my sins the love He had for me was just to much and I never remained the same.

The opening scripture is the prophecy of our dispensation, the dispensation of You and I, because we are still living in the day of Pentecost (Acts2:16-17) . God the father is sited on His heavenly throne, Jesus is also in heaven preparing a place for you and I but the Holy Ghost is right here on earth, living in me, living in you, speaking to us and these are His languages; visions, dreams and prophecy.

Many ways the New Testament believer hears from God are categorized under these 3 like the still-small voice is under prophecy, the inner witness is under prophecy, the Bible/written word is also a prophecy spanning thousands of years e.t.c.

So when we pray, let us pray in the Holy Ghost and expect to hear from Him via one of these mediums and take non of them for granted as God could be giving you powerful instructions, insight and revelations that would affect nations.

It is very easy to be sensitive to the voice of the Holy-Ghost but it requires focus and patience in the place of Prayer or in the place of worship, Word study or quiet time and from my personal encounters and experience in guiding people into the medium via which God speaks to them.  It is always preferable to close your eyes while waiting on the Holy Ghost  as you have full concentration and would easily see or journey into the spiritual realms and encounters, it’s a spiritual exercise and has very little to do with the flesh.

I prophesy into the life of you reading this, that you would receive from the Holy Ghost consistently until Jesus comes.

Prayer: sweet Holy Spirit, today I am patiently waiting to receive from you. Lord speak to me in Jesus name.
